Product Updates: Simple improvements your visitors will notice!
Summer is approaching, things are slowing down on site... but at Anghello, we've used the past few weeks to ship a few useful improvements for your visitor check-in experience.
No big revolution (that’s for September 😉) — just small, thoughtful updates that make a real difference day-to-day. Here’s what’s new:
1. “Call my host” feature 📞
Your visitor is waiting at the entrance… and no one shows up?
A common situation on sites without a permanent reception desk, or when the host misses the notification.
From now on, Anghello automatically displays the host’s phone number to the visitor so they can call them directly from their smartphone.
Whether it’s a direct line, mobile, or internal extension — it’s all handled based on the information you’ve configured.
- ✅ Say goodbye to printed contact sheets at the reception desk.
- ✅ A smoother experience for your visitors.
- ✅ Fully configurable to match your preferences.
📌 You can activate this directly from your site settings after importing your hosts' phone numbers.
2. The safety instruction editor just got better 📝
We’ve listened to your feedback about the safety instruction flow. The result?
➕ Step-by-step instructions
You can now break up your safety instructions into separate steps using the “Page Break” block:
One click → one instruction → next.
It’s easier to read, more digestible, and more effective than long scrolling blocks of text.
🔍 Image zoom
Need to display an evacuation plan? A technical diagram that deserves a closer look?
Visitors can now zoom in on any image, whether they’re using a tablet or smartphone. Handy, right?
🛑 New pictograms
Our icon library has been expanded: hazardous materials, environmental safety, energy saving...
Perfect for refining your safety messages, while keeping them clear and standardized.
📌 Available in your client portal under Sites > Instructions
.
3. Favorite hosts ⭐
Some employees receive dozens of visitors... others, not so much.
You can now mark hosts as favorites ⭐ — they’ll appear first when visitors start typing, on both tablet and mobile.
Suggested at the top of dropdowns and during autocomplete, this small change saves time and improves usability for your visitors.
4. Internal custom fields 🔒
Need a custom field for internal use only?
A comment for your reception staff? A detail to track for your audits?
You can now create internal fields, visible only to your team and never shown to visitors.
Perfect for enriching your visitor logs without overloading the check-in experience.
What’s next?
We won’t say too much just yet... but September will be packed with new features!
Until then, if you try out any of these updates, we’d love to hear your feedback — it’s what drives our roadmap forward.
Enjoy your summer, and see you soon with more updates for your visitor check-in experience ☀
